We Build the Foundation of Your Treatment, Starting on Day One

Your "first visit" at the Keeler Center lasts about 3 to 4 hours which can be broken up into as many as three sessions if you wish. This will be the most comprehensive evaluation you have experienced. The more we know about you and your headaches, the better we can design your customized migraine management program.

Step one in this initial evaluation is an extensive detailed history of your migraines and your overall general health. You can provide this information online, before your first visit to The Center, or you can enter the information at one of our computer stations at The Center, whichever is more convenient.

Once your history is completed, you will meet with one of our nurse practitioners or physicians to discuss your particular migraine problems in detail: How have you dealt with them in the past? What are you doing currently? Which medications or methods of treatment have been effective, if only temporarily? Which ones seem to have done little or nothing to help you? What are your goals at The Keeler Center?

When we have collected all our data, The Keeler Center Migraine Specialists will analyze it in depth to develop your specific treatment plan. This may include medications, exercises, life-style modifications, traditional therapeutic interventions, and alternative therapies as indicated. Any additional lab work or imaging studies will also be recommended at this point.

Your complete treatment plan will be reviewed with you at a follow-up visit and you may access it online and/or request a hard copy. Any research or clinical trials for which you may be eligible will also be described at your first follow-up visit.

We will schedule subsequent visits to monitor your progress and address new or evolving issues related to your migraines. If you wish, we will give copies of your treatment plan to your other physicians. From day one forward, we make ourselves readily accessible to provide the quality care you want and deserve.
