At the age of five I had a head injury that started my migraines and began my quest for
relief from the sometimes debilitating headaches.
Over the course of many
years, I tried a very wide range of treatments, therapies and lifestyle
adjustments to help me manage this condition — all with little or no success. When I discovered the Keeler
Migraine Center in Ojai, I was eager to see if they could help me continue
this quest.
After just a few months of working with the center — which offers a wide
range of treatment options including massage, meditation, yoga, biofeedback,
stress management, naturopathic, homeopathic and conventional medicines — I
progressed from having several of these debilitating headaches per week to
typically experiencing only one or two headaches per month.
The center also provides some of the most
comprehensive and cutting-edge research and treatment I have experienced so far.
The science of migraine study has come a long way, into a kind of
results-based open-mindedness that embraces a wide range of so-called
alternative therapies and backs them up with the rigors of Western science.
In the end, it's about doing whatever works to help patients manage their
condition and win back greater well-being.
As an IT executive, my ability to make key decisions in a fast-paced
environment depends on my ability to think clearly — and that depends on
minimizing discomfort and pain. The Keeler Migraine Center has helped me to be more
productive at work, happier at home — and more in control of my health.
